George Ngugi is the Managing Director of Manpower Group Limited. He has previously worked for National Bank, Standard Chattered Bank and is a holder of a degree in Business Administration from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Hons), MBA Leadership (Pursuing), Advanced Dip business administration (ABE) With more than 12 years of experience in retail and corporate banking George brings a deep understanding of both the issues facing clients and the practical challenges involved in implementing solutions For more than half of his career George has held senior leadership positions with both local and International Financial organizations where he has gained invaluable experience at tactical and strategic levels. George is a strategic thinker, who possesses a valuable blend of strong analytical and problem solving skills. His focused and collaborative approach quickly identifies initiatives that deliver measurable business value. George is the Managing director of Manpower Group Limited & previously worked for National Bank as the Head of Retail Banking where he also doubled up as the Head of strategy, transformation and Change Management in retail banking. He was part of the dream team on NBK transformation agenda, participating from the formulation to the implementation where he worked very closely with the McKinsey team. George Ngugi has also served as the Head of Employee Banking East Africa in Standard Chartered and Corporate Relationship Manager in Barclays Bank where he was instrumental in delivering double digit growth in scheme lending. In his role as the Managing director, George oversees execution of the three pillars of Growth (Manpower Group 3.0 strategy) through the development of value chain management, Business Advisory and Key Account Management. He has been involved in the development of business models for a number of institutions in Kenya including Musoni Kenya, Jijenge credit Microfinance, NIC bank, Letshego , Aspire Finance microfinance, Fortune credit microfinance, and powerbase global among others. He has overseen the roll out of value chain financing through digital and mobile banking platform where he was the lead trainer/consultant. He has also been involved in development of digital banking business models and was among the strategic team that gave insight and advisory role during the development of mobile money concept in Kenya. George portrays a strong sense for best evaluating workflows and processes and designing custom project plans for implementation of new strategies and processes to maximize organizational practices and operational efficiencies. His attention to the smallest of details including the complexity of many organizational factors helps him to provide the very best personalized, custom solution.
