The Men Timeless Bridges is the sixth Pillar and forms a critical part of TWOW's strategy for Women's Social and Economic empowerment. Collaborating with men is key. Statistics have shown that most of the world’s wealth lies in the hands of men and more than 80% of the leadership positions in all sectors (Government, public sectors, development, corporate and business community sectors) are held by men. Most of these positions inform the decisions that are made across the sectors and in order to bring diversity and inclusivity into the area of Leadership, it is imperative for there to be an increase in the number of women in leadership to ensure that women;s voices are at the center of matters development which guarantees sustainable growth for Africa.

TWOW recognizes the fact that without MEN at the heart of Women's empowerment, there will be minimal impact and growth for women. Men are the bridges that will guarantee the inclusive participation for women in key spheres of Influence. Men are therefore key stakeholders and partners of TWOW in a collaborative approach towards delivering prosperity for Africa joined by other men from all sectors and countries. We are building a healthy narrative about men and women working together for a better future of Africa.  

WHY BLACK?

Black is authoritative and is associated with formality, power and strength. These virtues are vital for Women to stand on as a Pillar. Men are responsible for protecting, sustaining and building generational impact for Africa and the world in general. As Pillars of strength and continuity, Men are vital in the Timeless Impact of the African Continent

To build bridges for women's  social and economic empowerment through collaborative partnerships with men from all sectors and spheres of influence

To develop and implement programs and initiatives that

  • Bring inclusivity and diversity to Leadership in all spheres of influence
  • Deliver maximum impact through synergies
  • Will mentor women in various fields of interest
  • Eradicate retrogressive social and cultural norms that hinder women's development and progress
